Noel Houlihan

Safety Training Officer, Aer Lingus

Noel started his career with Aer Lingus as cabin crew in 2001 flying long haul out of Shannon. After taking redundancy later that year he worked with a small Irish airline before returning to Aer Lingus Commuter until the company became part of the main airline in 2004, when he left to join Aer Arann, an Irish regional carrier. Noel started here as Senior Cabin Crew and was quickly promoted to safety instructor. HThis was followed by a promotion to base supervisor. He worked his way up in Aer Arann in a number of roles and left the company in 2012 as Head of On-Board Product and Sales. Noel rejoined Aer Lingus as Safety Training Officer and today he is responsible for cabin safety training within the airline. Working with the training manager he is responsible for ensuring that the company maintains and develops training standards. Noel works with a team of 28 safety instructors and manages the day to day operations of their Training Academy.
