Will the New UPRT Requirements Have a Material Impact on Flight Safety?

More than 10 years after the crash of Air France flight AF-447, EASA have established On-Aircraft UPRT requirement for new professional pilots in order to address the issue of Flight Upsets resulting from Loss of Control In Flight, by far the largest single cause of hull losses and fatalities in commercial aviation. Will this mandated training have a material impact on flight safety?
